Taylor Swift and Joe Alwyn Break Up After Six Years of Dating
Joe Alwyn and Taylor Swift have ended their relationship. The British actor and the singer of “Lavender Haze” split up a few weeks ago, US Celebrity Times exclusively captured for this love birds.
Also, US Celebrity Times has learned that the breakup was amicable and “not dramatic. The two of them had just finished their relationship status. It is why [Alwyn] hasn’t been seen at any concerts.” Taylor Swift, 33, is now on to her The Eras tour, which continues in Tampa, Florida the following week.
Swift and Alwyn were said to be in a wonderful place in their relationship not too long ago. They began dating in 2016, and a source previously revealed in October that they were “doing fantastic” and had a “very strong relationship each other.”
Few hours earlier, Swift had released her much awaited Midnights, her 10th studio album, followed by the surprise 3am Edition of the album, which contains seven additional songs.
When Swift dropped her album, she acknowledged that it was inspired by her relationship with Alwyn and the lengths they go to quiet the outside noise.

“I happened on the phrase ‘lavender haze’ when I was watching Mad Men, and I looked it up because I thought it sounded cool, and it turns out that it’s a common phrase used in the ’50s where they would just describe being in love,” Taylor Swift said at the time. “If you were in the lavender haze that meant you were in that all-encompassing love glow. I thought that was really beautiful.”
“I guess, theoretically, when you’re in the lavender haze you’ll do anything to stay there and not let people bring you down off of that cloud. I think a lot of people have to deal with this now, not just ‘public figures,’ because we live in the era of social media, and if the world finds out that you’re in love with somebody they’re going to weigh in on it,” Swift said. “Like my relationship for six years, we’ve had to dodge weird rumors, tabloid stuff and we just ignore it. This song is sort of about the act of ignoring that stuff to protect the real stuff.”
Alwyn, 32, said in a September 2018 conversation with British Vogue that he is well aware that fans are always interested in learning more about his and Swift’s relationship.
About Swift, he told the magazine, “I’m aware people want to know about that side of things. “I think we have been successfully very private, and that has now sunk in for people.”
She also addressed Alwyn in the 2017 track “Gorgeous” from her Reputation album. Fans may remember that a Swiftie said on Tumblr that the singer listened to Reputation in secret “had us all swear to tell anyone who makes accusations about the content of this song that it is entirely about her angel lover of a year. This is a known fact. She asked us to spread the people.”
Alwyn is also given credit for the Midnights song “Sweet Nothing,” however his name appears on the album under the well-known alias William Bowery. Swift’s 2020 albums Folklore and Evermore featured Alwyn’s prior work on the songs “Exile,” “Betty,” “Champagne Issues,” “Coney Island,” and “Evermore.”
Swift eventually revealed Alwyn’s secret identity in her Disney+ special Folklore: The Long Pond Studio Sessions. In 2021, he would receive a GRAMMY for his achievements.
