Taylor Swift Gives Fans a Subtle Sign That She’s ‘OK’ After Joe Alwyn Split
Happy more than ever before! Following her breakup with Joe Alwyn, Taylor Swift gave a subtly worded update how is she moving on.
Swift, 33, spotted a fan putting up a placard that said “You OK?” during her performance of “Delicate” on Saturday, April 15, at her Eras Tour stop in Tampa, Florida. The Folklore diva responded with a quick thumbs up and then carried on with her dance.
Following the sweet exchange, Swift’s followers quickly took to social media to express their relief that the pop star is reportedly doing well after calling it quits with the Conversations With Friends star, 32, earlier this month. Swift fans are aware that the singer rarely discusses her personal life outside of music.
“I’m glad she replied because I’m worried and I hope she’s alright. She is aware of our deep concern for her,” one user wrote in the comments section of a viral video on TikTok that captured the gesture. “That’s so cute bc to be honest we’re all a little worried. Our girl has a lot going on at the moment,” another fan said.
Taylor Swift gave her enthusiastic thumbs up not for the first time that she appeared to be addressing leaving her relationship. Fans questioned whether she was also making reference to her split during her performance on Thursday, April 13.

“Is it just me or do we have a lot of things to catch up on?” she asked of the audience before to her performance of “Champagne Problems,” a song which she cowrote with her ex boyfriend Alwyn that details a marriage proposal gone wrong. “It’s been a really long time since I’ve been on tour. And To say that a lot has happened would be an understatement.
“Their separation was influenced by their fame. Joe is an introvert who has never enjoyed the limelight that comes with dating one of the world’s most famous singers,” a report exclusively told US Celebrity Time after resarch, explaining that Swift is not to blame for the split and that the England native Alwyn does not blame Grammy winner Swift for her fame. He just didn’t enjoy being on all the time.
The couple had initially been linked in 2017 after being seen together on many occasions. However, Fans think the couple initially met a year ago. Swift and Alwyn began seeing each other around the time the songwriter stepped out of the spotlight, following her separation from Tom Hiddleston and feud with Kanye West and Kim Kardashian.
“I felt alone, I felt really bitter,” Swift said in her 2023 Netflix documentary, Miss Americana. “I felt sort of like a wounded animal lashing out. I figured I had to reset everything. I had to reconstruct an entire belief system for my own personal sanity. I also was falling in love with someone who had a wonderfully normal, balanced life.”
The Pennsylvania native mentioned that the couple made a concerted effort at the time to keep their romance a secret for as long as possible.
“I was falling in love with someone who had a wonderfully normal, balanced life. We decided together we wanted our relationship to be private,” she said. “Even though it was really horrible time, I was happy. But I wasn’t happy in the way I was trained to be happy. It was happiness without anyone else’s input. We were just … happy.”
While neither ex has officially acknowledged the news of their split, The Grammy winner appeared to initially allude to her newfound single status during her Arlington performance, Texas, Eras show on March 31 when she swapped her song “Invisible String” a music track inspired by her love life with Alwyn for the breakup ballad “The 1,” which tells the story of two people who weren’t quite right for each other.
