Dune: Part Two First Look Florence Pugh & Austin Butler
Something official Dune: Part Two Photos from Warner Bros. and Legendary’s highly anticipated 2021 action sci-fi movie sequel have been revealed via Vanity Fair and show some of the new cast members who will join Timothée Chalamet and Zendaya in the next installment. It is currently scheduled to hit theaters on November 3rd.
The photos give fans a first look at Florence Pugh, Austin Butler and Léa Seydoux’s respective characters – Princess Irulan, Feyd-Rautha and Lady Margot. They also tease the sequel’s recurring characters, including Paul Atreides from Chalamet, Chani from Zendaya, and Lady Jessica from Rebecca Ferguson.
“This sequel will explore the mythical journey of Paul Atreides as he unites with Chani and the Fremen as he embarks on a warpath of vengeance against the conspirators who destroyed his family,” reads the synopsis. “Faced with a choice between the love of his life and the fate of the known universe, he seeks to avert a terrifying future that only he can foresee.”
Dune: Part Two is again directed by Denis Villeneuve. The returning cast includes Timothée Chalamet, Rebecca Ferguson, Stellan Skarsgård, Dave Bautista, Zendaya, Javier Bardem, Josh Brolin and Stephen McKinley Henderson. They are joined by Christopher Walken as Emperor Shaddam IV, Florence Pugh as Princess Irulan, Austin Butler as Feyd-Rautha, Léa Seydoux as Lady Margot, and Souheila Yacoub as Shishakli.
Upon release, the first film was met with critical acclaim from fans and critics alike. It also garnered a whopping 10 Oscar nominations earlier this year. It won six of these, including Best Original Score, Best Sound, Best Film Editing, Best Cinematography, Best Production Design, and Best Visual Effects.
