Jamie Foxx’s Costars Speak Out about Unspecified Health Condition
The actor’s most recent movie debuted on June 14.
Co-stars of Jamie Foxx from the film They Cloned Tyrone opened up about the actor’s mysterious physical condition.
John Boyega and Teyonah Parris told Entertainment Tonight what they knew about Foxx’s illness as they were on the red carpet for the Netflix film’s premiere.
“I wanted him to show up here but you know, I know he’s dealing with what he’s dealing with, and we just wish him all the best,” said Boyega. He noted that he hasn’t been able to speak to Foxx while the actor and filmmaker’s been in recovery, saying, “I’ve been calling, I’m just gonna keep on calling. He better pick up. Come on Jamie!”
“We had so much fun [filming They Cloned Tyrone],” Parris continued of Foxx. “He’s just such a lively person, and he brings such an energy to the set.”

“I wish Jamie all the recovery and healing. He’s just so amazing,” she continued. “It was just such an honor to work with him. He’s so generous as an actor and as a human, along with John [Boyega]. I got lucky to be able to work with such dope men on this project, and dope men of color, that it was just so much fun.”
In the comedic sci-fi flick directed and co-written by Juel Taylor, Boyega, Parris, and Foxx star as a group of friends who find out an evil corporation is cloning Black people. By all means necessary, they set out to defend their neighborhood and loved ones. Foxx, who also acts as one of the film’s producers, portrays the smooth-talking pimp Slick Charles.
No details have been shared yet on what Foxx’s current health status is, but back in May, his family was photographed visiting him at a medical rehabilitation center in Chicago, which focuses on rehabilitating traumatic brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, cancer, and stroke recovery.
